Ultrasound 2.17.09

Last Tuesday I had my "big" ultrasound. I had to drink a ton of water right before my appointment. Then I had to...wait...and wait...and wait. By the time I got in to see the technician, I thought I was going to burst. David was with me and was trying to not laugh as he watched me squirm in my uncomfortableness. We were excited to see the baby on the screen and to watch the baby move around...there was one time where the hand was over the face, and then three fingers went down to make a pretend gun for us...David liked that one.
As the technician was looking at the baby and all the organs, she asked us if we wanted to know the sex. We both said, "Oh yeah"...but my husband said, "But...it'll just confirm what I already know. It's a boy...it's definitely a Gaynor boy!" I just smiled because honestly, I was going back and forth between..."is it a girl....I think so, no, it's a boy...I am eating way too much!" I never got any morning sickness at all either. The technician asked us what our parents were hoping for. We told her they wanted a baby girl because we have several boys in the family. As she continued with the ultrasound, she told David, "Well...it looks like your parents might be right on this one. So far, it looks like a girl!"
I looked over, and David had a big smile on his face...I think it was shock and excitedness. She finished up the ultrasound and pretty much assured us that we were indeed having a baby girl.
After we left...we went to Macy's to buy a couple of "girly" outfits. It was great to finally be able to visualize a bit more what God has blessed us with. I'll post pics of the ultrasound as soon as I can...and maybe of an outfit that we bought!

18 weeks- The belly is growing! 2/15/09

Last week, David and I were at our friends house- Amber and Mike in W. Sac. Amber was showing me her bright green room and we decided that it would be perfect for a backdrop for some pregnancy pics. I pulled in David from playing "guitar hero" so that he could be a part of this glorious moment! I hope you enjoy watching us both grow as we welcome our first child due on July 15th, 2009! Thanks Amber for the pics! These photos were taken on February 15th, 2009.
